Obama in the crossfire

Attacks in Kabul and Peshawar have demonstrated the strength of the Taliban ten days before the run-off vote for the office of Afghan president, the European press writes, commenting that such attacks are perpetrated by a group that lacks a majority backing. US President Barack Obama meanwhile is increasingly coming under fire for lacking clearly defined goals in Afghanistan.
