The Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai banned the German Nobel laureate Günter Grass from entering Israel on Sunday, citing the anti-Israeli poem published by the author last Wednesday as the reason for the move. While some commentators lament this escalation in the dispute, others see the entry ban as a purely symbolic act of indignation.
